Hello!  Welcome to Halite and Pepper!  I guess you’re looking for some information about me and my site.

I am from northern Virginia (near D.C.), and recently graduated from the College of William and Mary with a bachelor’s degree in geology (hence the blog name…minerals are my specialty).  I’ve graduated from the spam and pineapples we ate in the field to some more sophisticated flavor combinations and techniques, and now that I’ve more or less begun to develop my own recipes, I want to share them!  So I started a blog…it’s the thing to do these days, right?
